“The Worm Turns” (1937)

This Mickey Mouse cartoon has a lot of excellent imagery, slapstick, and creative animation in it. Even though the premise does get a little repetitive after a while, the excellent animation, and timing of the slapstick goes a long way in keeping this short not only consistently entertaining, but also funny throughout. The cartoon also is noteworthy for it’s incredible music, as well as its excellent and memorable sound design. This is a classic short that does a simple concept exceptionally well. As a side note though, I will say it is quite jarring to see Mickey be kind of a dick to Pluto on two separate occasions.
