This Oscar-nominated short film about a dying woman coming to grips with her sexual orientation is a fine short film, but it doesn’t really do enough all that different or unique to make this all that memorable or extraordinary. The acting is pretty good, and the film’s slower and laid-back pace fits perfectly with its premise. The film has its issues, like portraying someone essentially cheating on her loving girlfriend as a heartwarming moment, and having Marguerite herself being a surprisingly underdeveloped character. But this is a decently made film that tells its story decently, even if it has no aspirations other being a safe and conventional coming out story.
