“Lie Detector” (2011)

I feel like I’ve seen this sketch done better elsewhere. It barely takes advantage of its premise, instead opting for stale jokes about penis size and closeted homosexuality (how original). And at a very fast 3-minute runtime, there’s no room for any sense of comedic build-up. That being said, it’s competently filmed and I did chuckle at one little joke, so the film isn’t a total loss. But for a short that had so much more potential, I expected a lot more than just the same tired, predictable jokes we’ve seen a million times already.
