An incredibly fascinating and surprisingly entertaining film about the genesis of one of the biggest fast food conglomerates. The film is in interesting examination of the different ways in which people view running a business, as well as being a cautionary tale regarding the darker side of the American Dream. The acting from everyone involved is fantastic, especially Michael Keaton, who is brilliant as Ray Kroc; managing to make you understand where he’s coming from one second, and then want to smack him in the face the next, without feeling jarring. The direction is slick, and the script is brilliantly paced and highly intelligent. The Founder is a delight that mixes the informative and the entertainment in a way so few biopics could ever dream.
