“Four Rooms” (1995)

This film is precisely the risk you take when you make an anthology film with different directors. The first two shorts are crap. The last two shorts are great (not surprising, considering that the third and fourth shorts were directed by Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino respectively). As a whole, the film’s kind of dodgy. The main character played by Tim Roth, the key that’s meant to tie all the shorts together, is a vastly different character between the shorts, so there’s little consistency. None of these really gel together. If you want my recommendation, I’d say just skip the first two shorts, and then watch the final two individually; you’ll get a lot more out of it.
