“The Garbage Pail Kids Movie” (1987)

This might actually be the ugliest, most excruciating kid’s film ever devised. The puppet work is atrocious, the film is wildly inappropriate for its target demographic, the atmosphere is dreary, the film’s plot is borderline nonsensical, and worst of all, the titular characters are horribly written, nasty little creatures. This film seems to be trying to teach the message that true ugliness is what’s inside, not outside; which would be a noble message if the Garbage Pail Kids’ appalling behavior at all reflected this moral. It’s not even an enjoyable kind of bad; this film truly is an awful piece of crap, through and through, and might actually be the worst film ever made that somehow managed to get released in cinemas.
