Screenwriter Kevin Williamson may understand satire given his well-written Scream scripts, but if this film is any indication, he has no clue how to write dark comedy. This movie is one of the worst examples of assuming that the main characters are morally right just because they are the main characters I have ever seen. The idea of students kidnapping their evil teacher in order to get her to change their grades could work as a film, but it’s a tough sell, and you need to work hard to make sure the audience feels said teacher deserves such a punishment. I never got this from the film. This is a frustrating and aggravating comedy that will leave you feeling angry rather than entertained.
